My story

How did it all start? Quite simply: a friend had birthday and the tradition of hosting a concert to celebrate it. He needed photos for the event. I told him I had absolutely no idea what I was doing, but he had complete confidence in me. That evening sparked my interest in photography.

​I very quickly bought my own camera -my canon eon 60d- and started getting a feel for it. My subject? My cats, occasionally friends, horses, plants -anything that crossed my path. I just wanted to get to know my camera.

Then came the concerts. Through the friend whose birthday it was, I got in touch with local bands that gave me positive feedback, and I gradually became part of those circles.

As I made more friends and acquaintances, more and more opportunities came my way. One of the first major bands I worked with was Being as an Ocean. I was so excited and nervous—terrified of messing something up—but that evening remains etched in my memory to this day.

I gradually found my niche and developed my style, eventually making a name for myself through my photography.

But how did I end up shooting weddings? That, too, was something of an accident. The drummer of a band I was friends with was marrying his longtime girlfriend, and for them, it was a case of "her or no one." Even though I insisted I had absolutely no experience with weddings, that wasn't an issue for them at all. They trusted me.
